Barry County Community Mental Health
Our client wanted to consolidate multiple facilities into one central location. Schley Nelson Architects designed a new building to accommodate their needs while SKP Design selected furniture and finishes.
The goal was to create a crisp and clean design, playing off the natural surroundings. Carpet tile from J+J Invision has a branch pattern to bring the outdoors inside. Wood tones on the reception desk make the space warm and inviting. Corian transaction counters were selected for durability. Seating alcoves were strategically placed for small break out meeting and waiting areas. Armstrong sheet vinyl wood tone flooring in exam rooms adds warmth and avoids the institutional look. Varied height work station panels provide privacy yet maintain views to the wooded site. Patient counseling rooms are on a circular corridor, reducing sightlines to afford more privacy.
