University of Michigan Annual Alumni Show
Sondra Phillips, a University of Michigan graduate, displays her design of Zazio's Italian Grill at the 2009 3rd annual Univeristy of Michigan alumni show. The show is open to the public from July 10th - August 7. The opening reception will be held at the Jean Paul Slusser Gallery on Friday, July 17th 6-8pm.

NAWIC Award Winner
SKP Design Principal / Owner has been honored the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) 2009 Crystal Vision Award.

The Crystal Vision Awards Program recognizes individuals as exemplary leaders for their outstanding achievements in advancing the role of women in the construction industry. Sondra has been an inspiring role model to women all over West Michigan, including 20 students for which she has provided proffessional guidance through student internships over the past 13 years.

Sushiya opens in Lansing!
After much success with their Kalamazoo location, Sushiya opened a new location in East Lansing on East Grand River Drive by MSU campus. SKP Design worked with the owner to incorporate bold design elements borrowed from Kalamazoo Sushiya. SKP Design developed the logo and exterior signage for Sushiya.

AIA Merit Award - 401 East Michigan Ave

Nelson Breech Nave, AIA won a merit award for his design work at 401 East Michigan Avenue, Depot Landmark, LLC. SKP Design worked with Nelson on exterior color selection and awnings. SKP Design was also commissioned to continue the historical approach in the design of the Depot Landmark Political Offices,located on the second and third floors.
