Wild Ginger is the third business opened by Lee Lum and his son Andrew Lum. The restaurant opened June 2014 and features traditional Japanese, Chinese and Korean dishes with the addition of a fusion menu that combines Asian flavors with nontraditional ingredients.
SKP Design was asked to create a modern dynamic environment that would be flexible for open seating or private parties. Starting with a neutral base and layering Asian design elements and bright color accents on top allowed us to fulfill these requirements. Highlighting the sushi and drink bar with colored lighting create a focal point while strengthening the overall color direction of the restaurant. The bamboo and shoji screens enhanced the Asian feel while creating the feeling of privacy and elevating the design from floor to ceiling.
