Owners of The Woods Vacation Condos opened a restaurant and ice cream shop in a newly constructed building in Canadian Lakes. SKP Design services for this project include space planning, 3-D model drawings, and selection of materials, finishes, furniture, art and décor.
The concept for CL Pizza Co. is casual, family-friendly dining in an industrial rustic atmosphere. Vaulted ceilings and corrugated rustic metal accents highlight the color scheme of dark blue, hunter green, wood tones and mixed metals. Wood-look porcelain floor tile and cork-texture vinyl wallcovering bring warmth to the space. Dining tables from Moz have unique gradient color metal tops. A corrugated metal awning accents the pick-up window in the entrance hallway.
Indoor seating options include booths, large tables, low tops, high tops and a side dining room that can be reserved for special events. Two glass paneled garage doors add to the industrial vibe and can be closed to separate the private dining room. The bar offers both indoor and outdoor seating. A huge patio area provides seating with views of the water.
Bathrooms in the hall leading to the Dockside Ice Cream are shared by patrons of both establishments. The wet wall behind the sinks features tile installed in a herringbone pattern.
Fun and whimsical Dockside Ice Cream is on the opposite end of the building from CL Pizza Co. The interior is fresh and inviting with a color scheme of mint chocolate chip green, vanilla white and blue moon blue. These colors are incorporated in the unique vinyl composition tile floor pattern, showing that cost-effective materials can create big design impact. White subway tile combines with textured blue "wave" tile behind the ice cream freezers to add interest and make cleaning a breeze. Write on wipe off paddle board signage reflects the waterfront location.
Seating is available inside at mint green laminate top tables and outside at teak-look durawood tables on the adjacent patio. All chairs are indoor-outdoor stackable metal from Mingia.
