When the owners of North Shore Inn needed to expand the kitchen and update restrooms, they decided to remodel the entire restaurant. The overall goal was to design a new space that would still feel familiar after renovation.
Styled after the original, the rebuilt bar features a new bar back design and a porcelain tile bar front with a textile aesthetic. New furniture offers a variety of seating including booths, bench seating, high top and low top tables. “Northshore Blue” is used as an accent color throughout the restaurant. Iconic murals were restored and updated to remain a feature at each end of the restaurant. Wood luxury vinyl plank floor is in keeping with the original feel of the space. Modern industrial glass pendants provide accent lighting at the bar. Updated restrooms feature glazed and matte tile on the walls. Original brick elements were uncovered in the remodeling, and more interior brick was added to create a cohesive look. A wood ceiling completes the space to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
