Most Walnut & Park employees are residents of KPEP, an innovative local community corrections provider, and graduates of the KPEP culinary arts program which equips them with the job skills they need to turn their lives around and live independently. The cafe menu includes coffee, pastries, sandwiches and grab-and-go lunch items.

SKP Design was tasked with creating an urban artistic coffee shop in a local neighborhood, providing a fun and comfortable gathering place with a separate meeting room. A brick interior feature wall brings warmth into the space. A cool palette of smoky blue and greys contrasts with white subway tile accents which are cleanable and durable. The rustic wood look floor is a porcelain tile called Season Wood from Daltile, installed in a unique herringbone pattern. Decorative chandeliers provide an old world aesthetic and draw the eye up to the vaulted wood ceiling. Cambria quartz was selected for the register counter area. The kitchen prep counter and window sills are Corian Antarctica. Click to see the Virtual Tour!
